Propoxyphene tablet
Propoxyphene also known as:
Proxyvon, Darvocet.
Indications:
This medication is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain, either when pain is present alone or when it is accompanied by fever.
Dosage and Administration:
The usual adult dose is 1 capsule 3-4 times a day with a maximum dose of 8 capsules per day. For patients with renal and hepatic impairment, dosage should be reduced. Each capsule may be taken with or without food.
Contraindications:
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Dextopropoxyphene and Acetamenophen and its ingredients.
